About Us
Fosc & Root is the result of three black truffle producers united by a shared passion: bringing the pure essence of Catalonia to the world through truffles. Our story began more than 30 years ago, when we started harvesting wild truffles. During that time, we explored forests, studied terrains, and learned to identify the areas where nature provides the best conditions for the growth of winter, summer, and autumn truffles.
Around 16 years ago, we took a step further in our commitment to quality and sustainability by establishing our first organic plantations of Tuber melanosporum. Since then, we have continuously invested in research, training, and innovation, acquiring our own know-how to ensure that every truffle grows in an environment nurtured exclusively through manual care, free from harmful chemicals.
Our philosophy is built on respect for tradition, decades of hands-on experience, and a strong commitment to sustainability and traceability. Each of us has personally trained our own truffle dogs, who remain indispensable partners in the delicate process of truffle hunting, ensuring precision and care in every harvest.
Thanks to this journey, Fosc & Root is able to offer premium-quality truffles, hand-selected one by one, guaranteeing freshness, authenticity, and excellence. Our Unique Truffles

What sets our truffles apart is the way they are grown, harvested, and selected. At Fosc & Root, we combine more than 30 years of experience in wild truffle hunting with over 16 years of cultivating organic black truffle plantations in Catalonia, one of the regions with the best natural conditions for truffles in Europe.
All of our truffles, whether winter (Tuber melanosporum), autumn (Tuber uncinatum), or summer (Tuber aestivum) are harvested through sustainable practices, ensuring that the land and forests remain healthy for generations to come. Our plantations are 100% organic, cared for exclusively through manual work on holm oaks and oaks, without the use of chemicals or harmful products.
Each truffle is hand-selected one by one, guaranteeing that only those with the best aroma, maturity, and quality reach our customers. This allows us to meet the needs of both small and medium distributors looking for a distinctive product, as well as fine dining restaurants and large international buyers who require consistent excellence.
